Hi, my name is Miranda Dunderfelt, a painter and visual artist based in Helsinki, Finland.

My style of painting is very exploratory, combining different media to create interesting effects, but my speciality lies in intuitive, abstract paintings and in animal pictures and-portraits. I also offer workshops in intuitive painting

About

Creating art in different forms has always been my main way to express myself, and an important part of my whole life. First as a hobby, making paintings for family and friends, while pursuing a career in sport and welfare management, but quickly there after concluding that my desires and life mission lies completely in art and especially painting.

I studied art in Vapaa Taidekoulu from 2020-2024, exploring the art world diversley and intensely. During my studies I also continued consistently with commissioned works such as pet portraits for a gradually wider customer base. I also work part time as an artist for Escape room helsinki, making extravagant art projects for escape rooms (also spiking my interest in incooperating technology with classical painting techniques to accomplish effects such as motion within the painting.) I am also a certified animal communicator, and very interest in unlocking our inherent capacity of using our intuition both in a creative sence and in other aspects of life.

In 2025 I started offering easily approachable workshops in an intuitive painting style for companies and private groups.

1. Pet portraits

What I need: a clear picture or pictures of your beloved animal/animals

Time: Depending on the size and difficulty level, 3-6 months

2. Intuitive abstract painting based of a living being or object:

What I need: A picture or description of what you wish to be portrayed.

How it works: It is like a psychic reading but resulting in a piece of very personalizes art! I will tune in to the subject matter and let the picture form intuitively. Sometimes I also feel inspired to write some information down during the process, which you will receive along with the painting.

Time: 3-4 months

Price: starting from 60 e

I will start the painting the way but modifications can be requested and applied after the initial stage.

Workshops

My life mission is to bring very approachable painting workshops to people, unlockning their creativity and inherent ability to be creators of reality.

To who: Adults and teens 13+ of age. From beginners, who have never painted before, to experienced painters. Groups of up to 50 participants.

Duration: 1h-1,5h (depending on group size.) For example: Introduction 5 min, painting 40 min, and discussion afterwards 15 min.

Price: Starting from 65e (includes 2 persons) and + 10e per person.

All equipment will be provided, including paints, brushes, paper and protective gear.

Benefits of intuitive painting

Intuitive painting does not require any previous knowledge of painting or any previous experience. I will show you and teach you everything you need to know.
Everyone can do it. Intuitive painting is very beneficial for people who think they can’t paint, in showing that they actually can. It will give a scene of accomplishment and be very rewarding. Also experience painters will benefit from the exercises.
Intuitive painting can be absolutely anything, it is a free expression of each unique individual participating in the workshop. Everyones expression is unique, and will be allowed to shine and come to life during the painting session.
